10 Reasons Why Your Pet Is Your Best Sibling!
Dogs have always been the best siblings humans could have ever asked for. If you’ve ever had a dawgie around, you’d know that they have the warmest of hearts. They love you for who you are and teach you the meaning of life. They’ve been our partners in crime, and the guardians of all our secrets.
This Rakshabandhan, we’ve compiled a list of 10 reasons why dogs make the best siblings!
1. They’ve always kept your secrets
You don’t have to worry about your secrets being leaked when you tell them to your dawgies. They tuck them in the corners of their heart, and guard them safe. Dawgies have always been the masters of discretion.
2. They don’t rat you out to parents
If you’ve been the one dragging the muddy rug to your room, your dog will always be more than happy to join you in the task, rather than ratting you out in front of your parents. No matter how dirty the task gets, they always stand by you.
3. They are never mean to you!
Unlike hooman siblings who enjoy being mean to you, dawgies always look up to you with joy. They have hearts of the purest gold there could ever be, and they don’t mind wearing it on their sleeves for you to see.
4. They protect you from every harm
Be it a pickpocket, or your boring friend, your dog knows your boundaries like nobody else. Call it their sixth sense, or their love, but dawgies have a knack for knowing when something is wrong and don’t waste a minute fending your enemies off.
5. They know when you’re sad
They don’t get fooled when you’re wearing a smile to suppress your sadness. Dawgies are watchful creatures, and know how to read your eyes. If you’re sad, they’ll know it. You can run, you can hide, but you can’t escape their love!
6. They know how to comfort you
It doesn’t matter if it’s a small fight with your mom, or if you’ve broken up with who you thought was the love of your life, your dog will sit beside you all night long if the need be. They may not have the words to make it better, but will make sure you don’t have to go through it alone.
7. Their love is unconditional
They really don’t care if you’re short, or tall; rich or poor. They know you love them, and that’s all they care about. They know their hooman works hard to provide them with food and shelter, and to them that’s pretty super-hooman of you. You’ll always be your dog’s hero.
8. They’re always up for an adventure
Be it a walk at 4 in the day, or your midnight craving to go out, your dog will always be a part of your adventure. They are never too tired for one.
9. They’re always happy to see you!
And that’s because they love you! When you’re out of sight, they miss you. Their whole day and life revolve around you. Your activities are their day clock, it starts when you take them out for a morning jog, and then feed them, play with them, and tuck them in to sleep.
10. They’re the best cuddle bundles
Dawgie cuddles are the best antidote to all the negativity in the world. It is quite rightly said that the best therapist has four paws. It’s just so much easier when all the furry positivity fits right in your arms, isn’t it?
